Your hosts Marina & Hermann

In 2010 we took over the biological agriculture at 902 m above the sea level from my husband’s parents.

The farm has been owned by the family since 1691 and has been awarded as "Erbhof".  We are very proud to be able to continue this!

In February 2018, the entire stable building and the house were destroyed by a major fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and we were able to rebuild everything within ten months and move back into our home.

I took over the rental of the apartments in 2020
from my mother-in-law Eleonore.

Our four children
Lisa (18),  Anna (14)  und  Josef (8)
support us already very well and make sure that it never gets boring.

In September 2025, our son Hermann (12), who helped enthusiastically and eagerly with the farm work, tragically passed away in an accident.

Eleonore & Alois

Although our parents have retired,
they are both still helping out at any time and anywhere.

We are very THANKFUL for this!

Blessi

Our yard dog Blessi !

Blessi joined our farm in 2019.
Our furry family member is very kind.
If anyone is afraid, then of course it will be put on a leash.

Organic farm Rohrmoos

suckler cow husbandry

We have a suckler cow husbandry with about 80 cattle. Of these, 35 are mother cows with their calves,
some calves and two breeding bulls.  This form of cattle farming serves the purpose of beef production.

Our calves stay with their mothers during the summer in the pasture.
And in winter they can move freely in the barn.
In December and January, most calves are born.

Pets

We also keep 25 ewes that are allowed to graze in the Steinern Meer all summer long.
In autumn we bring down our sheep from the mountain pastures , where every now and then the first lambs are already there.

Also on our farm we have the cat Emma with her kittens, three rabbits and three guinea pigs who are very happy about your petting sessions.

Our chickens and ducks protect our garden from snails.

The goats are on the pasture throughout the summer, which we can visit and feed together after a short walk.
